The piece
A bound bundle of rosemary, lavender and cedar, grown on a Devon smallholding and bound with undyed cotton. We do not sell white sage or palo santo, and the note below explains plainly why.
Why we do not sell white sage or palo santo
Both are sacred to living Indigenous communities — white sage to a number of Californian nations, palo santo to peoples of the Andes and the Amazon — and both are under real commercial pressure from exactly this market. Rosemary, cedar, bay and lavender have been used for cleansing in European practice for as long as anyone has written anything down, they grow abundantly here, and they work. This costs us sales every month and we are entirely at peace with it.
