The piece
Seven pillar candles poured from pure British beeswax — gold for the Sun, silver-white for the Moon, and so through the classical seven — each stamped with its planetary seal while the wax is still warm. Beeswax only: no paraffin, no soy blend, no synthetic scent, cotton wick.
Practice
Burning to the hour
A planetary candle is lit in its own hour, which moves daily — the first hour after sunrise on Sunday is the Sun’s, and the sequence runs from there. Trim the wick to 5 mm before every lighting. A candle that gutters and smokes is not an omen; it is an untrimmed wick.
